Is there anything planned for that empty lot in the first picture, @harryc ?
Street view shows the crazy building that used to be there in 2007:

But then nothing happened ever since it was demolished in 2009 - same for the curved building next to it:

Nothing planned - Northwestern Memorial Hospital is land-banking it, and using the large vacant lot as an extra poke in the eye when they tore down Prentice directly across the street.

That was Lakeside VA - Deom'd in 2008/2009

The "curvey building" next to it was the Very Solid - Very modern - Goldberg masterpiece - Prentice Women's Hospital

There was such an uproar about Prentice! But to no avail.
