Hi Group,

It Might sound Funny now, but When I Look at all the other Bldgs in size Verses Brookfield Place and the Bow they Make Everything look way Small in Size. Yet all these
30 to 40 Flr Bldgs were considered as Normal Height Bldgs when they got Blt years back. With Telus on they way Up, will B Interested to See how Oxford does with Their
own Bldg over at 6th Ave./4th St. S.W. in the Coming Years. If I am right It will B something like 64 Flrs. Go Oxford.

Tnx,
Operater.

For a brief period it looked like Oxford would be the new tallest... That'll be quite a ways off, but as a skyscraper nerd I'm still holding out hope for it to happen one day ;)

Hi Again,

Hey Surreal Places! Didn't realize You were a Huge Skyscraper Advocate. Welcome to the Group as Such. Guess I'm not the Only One. Just as a matter of Interest I know that Lacaille's Project over at 4th Ave S.W./5th St. S.W, will B another Biggie - if It gets Blt. Like 50 Flrs if I am correct. Correct Me if I'm wrong. You want Biggies - go to
the Site - www.urbantoronto.ca What's going on in the Land of TO make everyone look like a Poor Boys Place. Just NO Comparision. Urban Toronto is My favourite site for Developements in Canada.. Enjoy.

Tnx,

Confused. Surrealplaces started this group. It was only him at the beginning posting photo after photo. If that doesn't say skyscraper advocate, I don't know what will.

Building height have increased tremendously world wide. Calgary has also come into its own as a corporate centre in the past decade with large companies with even larger space needs that also desire large floor plates.

yea I like big building though. skinny one like Telus isn't my type.. but luckily that tower got unique design

Oxford will be redesigned if it comes back to life.

Welcome to SRC surrealplaces! ;)

I'm definitely a skyscraper lover, even though I favour low rise and mid rise towers over skyscrapers most of the time. :) It's nice to appreciate a well done high rise that sticks out in a skyline.

A few more pics of Brookfield Place. Some close-ups of the crown shot from the Calgary Tower.

I'm not exactly sure what all the changes were to the crown, but in real life it doesn't quite bother me so much anymore. Perhaps not a masterpiece, but I think it's staring to look just fine.

The crown is looking much better. If they could simply change the colour of the new panels they put up, to be a bit darker and a bit more blueish-green, it would look great.
