Construction is progressing at the Downtown Montreal site of developer Broccolini's L'Avenue. The 50-storey condominium tower, designed by architects Page + Steele, is one of many elements in the ongoing $2 billion CAD development of the city's new Quad Windsor district, being led by private developer Cadillac Fairview.

The development site sits on a busy stretch of Rue de la Montagne, located directly between the construction sites for the 50-storey Tour des Canadiens and the twin 40-storey Le Roccabella towers - both part of the massive Quad Windsor plan.

The completed development will rank among Montreal's tallest after reaching its final height of 175 metres, or 574 feet - the same height as Montreal's iconic Tour de Montréal, the city's famous inclined tower that looms over Olympic Stadium.

The wave of development currently transforming this stretch of Downtown Montreal, which includes a mix of nine residential and commercial towers, is expected to be completely built out over the next 15 years. The new Quad Windsor district draws its name from the historic Windsor Station, and is centred around the station and the adjacent Bell Centre, home of the NHL's Montreal Canadiens. Several new retail and commercial additions will help anchor the new developments to street level, including a Provigo Le Marché grocery store to be included in the base of L'Avenue.
