At SkyriseCities, some of our greatest stories get their start on the Forum. If you don't know where to dive into our community this week, these threads and photo updates are a great place to start.
Forum member Jasonzed shared his drone pictures and video of the growing Montreal skyline, featuring the abandoned Canada Malting Silos in the foreground.
Forum user mcminsen paid a visit to the excavation pit of Bjarke Ingels Group's Vancouver House and got us this picture, illustrating the impressive depth of the pit.
Speaking of Vancouver, the city will soon have a brand new downtown Casino, and it looks like it's covered in gold! Designed by ARCOP + acdf, Parq Vancouver is currently under construction next to the BC Place Stadium.
In New York City, Edward Skira shows us One57's soaring cascade-like facades from street level. Designed by French architect Christian de Portzamparc, the tower is home to some of the city's most expensive residences.
Finally, StructEngGuy shared a picture from CAST CONNEX, showing the architecturally exposed structural steel seismic force-resisting system of San Francisco's new Transbay Transit Centre. Fitted with cast steel nodes, the building will become a major transit hub in the city, and feature a rooftop garden.
Come back next week for another recap of the Forum's latest news and views. Until then, submit your photos and get involved in the discussion!
