Twin 38-storey towers are now rising and will soon become level with Boulevard René-Lévesque Ouest in Montreal. Developers Brivia Group and Tianco Group have partnered with Menkes Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux Architects on YUL, an 800-unit development climbing to a height of 120 metres.
The towers are composed of four shifted blocks wrapped in glazing and housing a variety of unit types, from 333-square-foot studios to 1600-square-foot three-bedroom layouts. A central 23,000-square-foot green space will be bordered by 17 four-storey townhouses. Custom-designed penthouses boasting 18-foot ceiling heights on floors 35, 36 and 37 offer unobstructed views of Downtown Montreal.
Interior common spaces designed by Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio ensure residents remain comfortable, especially during the upcoming winter season. The amenity package includes Downtown Montreal's longest indoor lap pool, a fitness centre, a salon spa, and the 38th floor Sky Lounge.
The project is located near the Griffintown neighbourhood and the vibrant Quartier des Spectacles entertainment district. Numerous restaurants are scattered within walking distance; Montreal boasts the highest number of restaurants per capita in North America.
Work on the five-level parking garage is progressing and the project is steadily approaching grade. Images captured by Forum member skahhigh show the building about three floors beneath the road surface. The topped-out Tour des Canadiens is visible in the distance.
The project is on pace for 2017 occupancy. You can post your photos of the project by visiting the designated Forum thread, or access more images and information by checking out the Database file linked below. Leave a comment at the bottom of this page to get involved in the discussion.
