Miami's explosive growth and towering aspirations are clearly visible in a recent drone flight conducted by TAMZ for The Related Group, a local developer building several new projects in the city's vibrant Brickell neighbourhood. Designed by ArquitectonicaSLS Brickell has risen 52 storeys above South Miami Avenue, and when complete, will boast a mix of uses worthy of its address.

The first eight levels of the tower are set to house a 132-room hotel, brought to life by sbe Entertainment. From there, 38 floors of residences follow, topped off by six floors of penthouses for a total of 453 units. The combination of hotel and condominium uses fosters some unique privileges for residents, including valet parking, in-room dining, and housekeeping services. Residents will have access to these concierge services as well as hotel amenities via a wireless control pad.

A 200-foot infinity pool is the star of the ninth floor terrace, which also offers alfresco dining and private cabanas. An additional pool on the rooftop of the building will be reserved for residents only. The one acre of amenity spaces included in the development also host a fitness centre, spa, theatre room with bar service, and a 6,000-square-foot ballroom.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and large balconies in every unit offer panoramic views of the city. The open-concept suites feature stainless steel appliances and custom European kitchen cabinetry. The building includes a lobby and restaurants by French designer Philippe Starck, plus dining experiences by chefs José Andrés, Katsuya Uechi, and Michael Schwartz.

Drone footage shows the building now topped out as glazing nears the apex. Work on the ground level and eight-storey parking garage continues. Although not visible in the photos, the undersides of the lower balconies are now sporting pink paint, with green being applied to the balconies on the tower.

As the structure is now nearly completely sheltered from the elements, interior finishes can proceed as construction crews ready for late 2016 occupancy. You can stay updated with this project by checking out the Database file linked below where you'll find more images and information.
