We recently published a general update on mid-rise development in Vancouver that highlighted some of the projects taking a fine-grained approach to improving that city's vitality. Now, a series of new photos captured by SkyriseCities Forum contributor mcminsen illustrates the progress of Serracan InvestmentsFiveTen Seymour, one of the projects in our recent feature.

Now nearing its final height of 10 storeys at the intersection of Pender and Seymour Streets, the Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership-designed Class A office building has begun to reveal the first hints of its final exterior aesthetic with the installation of the first panels of cladding spotted on the slab edge above the development's ground floor.

A closer look reveals the seafoam green-hued panels covering practically all of the slab edge above the ground floor. The addition of windows and yellow fins on the southwestern facade will further add to the overall aesthetic, while a yellow frame will create a bold outline for the structure.

The development, which is aiming for LEED Gold certification, will add 7,600 square metres of office space to Vancouver's city centre, putting its tenants within walking distance of both Granville and Waterfront Stations on the SkyTrain's Expo Line. In addition to being close to plenty of shops and restaurants, the development will also provide tenants with a quiet rooftop terrace equipped with barbecues and views of the surrounding cityscape.

A number of tenants have already been confirmed for the development, including Adler University, who will be occupying a portion of the ground floor and the four levels above. Levels seven through nine will house office space for Shoes.com, while the uppermost office level will be home to Hardy Capital Partners and Serracan, the developer of the property.
