It's been a few months since we covered the construction progress at WAM Development Group's 10th Avenue SW, a 425,000-square-foot residential development under construction in Calgary's Beltline area, just south of the city's rapidly intensifying downtown. We last covered the project in early January, when the project's taller 34-storey west tower was in the process of topping out at the corner of 10th Avenue SW and 9th Street SW.

In the months since, installation of the two-tower development's exterior cladding has made considerable progress. New images captured by SkyriseCities Forum contributor Surrealplaces highlight the ongoing cladding installation for the Kirkor-designed development, which is set to contain 440 residential rental units and 7,200 square feet of retail space.

The towers are being covered in a window wall glazing system with aluminum and back-painted glass spandrel panels, framed in grey mullion caps. The tower's blue tint in the images above is the result of thin plastic weather protection membranes, which are now being removed from the building's lower levels.

The development ties in with The Beltline Area Redevelopment Plan, which is expected to bring 40,000 people to the growing area by 2035. Completion of 10th Avenue SW is scheduled for later this year.
