Currently going up within the trendy Pike Place Market district of downtown Seattle, Continental Properties' 12 Tower recently passed the halfway mark. The 34-storey rental apartment designed by Weber Thompson and MG2 will bring a total of 314 rental units to the area, with 44 studios, 258 one- and two-bedroom units, and 12 penthouses.
Joining a host of new developments in the area, Tower 12 represents the changing face of Seattle's rapidly intensifying downtown. Within walking distance of the Pike Place Market, Elliot Bay (home to television's Frasier Crane), and a range of theatres, galleries, and museums, residents will truly be at the heart of the action. As for the name, 'Tower 12' was selected as a reference to the so-called '12th Man' or 'Spirit of 12' known to Seattle Seahawks fans.
Beyond the extraordinary panoramic views, which will take in the Olympic Mountains, Pacific Ocean, and the surrounding cityscape, Tower 12 will provide residents with a full range of amenities. The 34th-storey amenity space will include an outdoor terrace with sitting areas and barbecues, along with a resident lounge, library, game room, and exercise room.
In addition to this, the 6th storey will feature an outdoor fireplace and barbecue area, along with a media centre and conference room. Residents will have access to 325 parking spaces, and the ground floor will be home to 7,000 square feet of retail.
