151 SE 1st Street in the heart of Downtown Miami is now home to Centro, a 37-storey residential tower by Newgard Development Group. Nestled in the Jewelry District, the tower is blocks away from the riverfront, Biscayne Bay, Museum Park, and the American Airlines Arena.

Usable space within each of the project's 352 units is maximized by implementing open concept floor plans, ten-foot exposed ceilings, and expansive windows. Italian cabinetry, finished concrete flooring, stainless steel appliances, and custom kitchen and bathroom fixtures provide an industrial chic aesthetic to the living spaces.

Common spaces, designed to "embrace the pulse" of the downtown core, come in a variety of forms. A restaurant and retail will anchor street level alongside a triple-height lobby entrance. The building's rooftop is equipped with a pool and deck area, giving residents the perfect opportunity to sunbathe and admire the views from hundreds of feet above the ground.

Designed by The Sieger Suarez Architectural Partnership, the building's exterior is expressed through clean vertical lines and a playful arrangement of balconies. Crews are completing the application of materials on the ground floor in what was a comparatively speedy project delivery, owing in part to Centro's absence of a dedicated parking garage.
