Shayher Group, the Australian affiliate of Taiwan's Pau Jar Group, has launched their massive Brisbane Quarter at 300 George Street project with the office and retail portions offered to the market for lease. Spanning an entire city block, the mixed-use development will include Australia's first purpose-built W Hotel, a 40-storey prime office tower with at-grade dining and retail, and a mammoth 82-storey luxury residential tower.

Containing nearly 50,000 square metres of net lettable area, the 40-storey office tower at 300 George Street will feature 1,400-square-metre floor plates, a double-height glass lobby, and a number of amenities. Tenants will have access to a dining area overlooking the Brisbane River, conference facilities, green space on the fourth floor, and spa facilities at the W Hotel.

Brookfield Multiplex began construction on the first phase in September 2015, which includes the hotel and retail component. A seven-storey underground parking garage has also begun taking shape. It's anticipated that Brisbane Quarter will see its first tenants in 2018.

The three ultramodern glass towers will ascend in the central business district on the site of a former courthouse. Zenx Architects has been appointed to lead the design of the office and residential component, while DBI Design has been tasked with the retail and hotel portions of the project. The high-profile nature of the development is expected to attract high-profile office and retail tenants, as Brisbane's unabating love affair with skyscrapers soldiers on.
