Amsterdam is known for its combination of buzzing city-life and old-town charm. Adding to the attraction of the area, the city is currently constructing its tallest residential and hotel tower. This mixed-use project will be situated next to the Amstel Station in Julianaplein to garner more tourist attention and will be in close proximity to other large-scale tourist developments such as More Park, Science Park Amsterdam, and the Rembrandt, the tallest skyscraper in Amsterdam.

Amstel Tower will be 100 metres high with a sleek exterior, featuring a wrap-around canopy on each floor to protect residents from the summer sun. The building will encompass 7500 square metres of hotel space and 192 apartments with floor-to-ceiling windows to provide spectacular views of the city below. The developer, Provasthas commissioned architects at the Powerhouse Company to create this design, and the project is currently under construction.
