As the concrete floors and frame of Montreal's Maison Manuvie (Manulife House) approaches their 27-storey conclusion, highly reflective glazing panels have begun application on the lower floors. Developed by Ivanhoe Cambridge and Manulife, the state-of-the-art office building at 900 De Maisonneuve West will be a prestigious addition to the downtown core.

Upon completion, tenants will be invited into the grand lobby, an airy space featuring a ceiling height of over 12 metres. Five storeys of above-ground parking — which can be seen forming in the photo below — sit atop the building's main floor. The office floors are separated from the parking by one storey split between mechanical use and an amenity space featuring a conference centre, lounge, and terrace. The conference centre is comprised of a 240-person auditorium that can be separated into three smaller rooms. This area is attached to the lounge and terrace, which offer tenants a calming respite from the busy work day.

As the office component begins on the ninth floor, every habitable space will offer natural sunlight, uninterrupted sightlines, and fantastic views of the city. LEED Gold certification will likely be attained following the implementation of measures designed to maximize the environmental performance and energy efficiency of the building.

Workers choosing to commute via two wheels — taking advantage of Montreal's extensive bike lane network — will be thankful for the lockers, parking facilities, changing rooms, and showers that the building provides. Commuting by public transit is also a breeze, with a direct connection to Peel station on the Montreal Metro's Green Line. The MSDL-designed Maison Manuvie meets the demand for greater flexibility in office space while adding a new shiny beacon to the Montreal skyline.
