The junction of the South Platte River and Cherry Creek in Denver has inspired the name of a currently climbing highrise multifamily tower nearby. Situated at 15th Street and Little Raven Street, the 34-storey building by PM Realty Group and National Real Estate Advisors has been aptly coined The Confluence.
The main point tower is attached to a four-storey podium which itself is affixed to a smaller six-storey residential component by a pool deck. Its first 25 floors will contain studio, one-, and two-bedroom units, while the remaining storeys are reserved for penthouses with direct elevator access. Each home will come equipped with solar shades, private terraces, hardwood floors, and granite-countertop gourmet kitchens.
In addition to street-fronting retail, residents will soon enjoy access to a number of recreational amenities, including a saltwater infinity-edge pool with an underwater sound system, a heated jacuzzi, and an outdoor barbecue grilling space. A 'Skyline Lounge' with a movable glass partition invites users to admire the views and a contemporary fitness centre provides a room for daily exercise.
The building's design, courtesy of GDA Architects, is defined by a curtain wall facade and grey metal panelling. Maximizing its gross floor area by pushing high into the sky, the building's relatively small footprint will deliver a slender tower that will anchor the Riverfront Park skyline. The concrete construction has surpassed a dozen floors and should be fit for occupancy by 2017.
