A new landmark office tower in Downtown Montreal is quickly assuming form, moving towards its 27-storey pinnacle in swift fashion. As part of a long-term agreement announced in 2014, Manulife will occupy over 260,000 square feet across 11 floors, an occupancy that represents more than half of the project's leasable floor space. Over 2,000 employees across Montreal's core who are currently located in Manulife and Standard Life properties will move into the new complex upon completion. Manulife bought Standard Life plc’s Canadian-based operations two years ago.

Construction of the MSDL-designed Maison Manuvie began in 2015. Servicing the primary office functions of the property will be 8,500 square feet of retail space and an above-ground parking garage with 360 stalls. Opaque glazing has been installed on these lower levels to hide the interior of the garage and a more transparent facade treatment will wrap the office floors above. The development also features connectivity to Peel and McGill Métro stations and to Montreal's extensive underground city.
