Boston's tallest building makes an appearance in today's Daily Photo, with a creative long exposure view of the John Hancock Tower, submitted to our Flickr Pool by contributor VanveenJF. Constructed in an unusually long amount of time between 1968 and 1976, the building faced a number of engineering challenges, causing a series of delays towards the project's completion. Standing 240.8 metres above the Boston skyline, and featuring a cutting-edge design by architect Henry N. Cobb of I.M. Pei & Partners, the 60-storey office tower has held the title of the city and state's tallest structure for 40 years.
