One of the most impressive supertall clusters in the world, which also holds Europe's tallest building, is approaching full build-out in Moscow. Newly released renderings portray the design and scale of the highly anticipated final development in the enormous mixed-use precinct. The Neva Towers project brings together global architecture giants HOKFXFOWLE, and SPEECH to further boost the residential and office stock of Moscow International Business Center — also simply known as Moscow City.

The two-tower scheme of 77 and 63 storeys by Renaissance Development would soar from a triangular lot in the northwest quadrant of the district, which has grown to become Russia's quintessential skyscraper city. A four-storey podium would create a platform to accommodate the rise of the rectangular floor plates. These material components of the plan would be surrounded by an open plaza and green space where users will find the buildings' primary entry point.

The development's programmatic divisions are clearly defined between the two buildings; the tallest tower will be fully residential, while the shorter volume entertains a mix of housing and office space for a total of 1,210 apartment units. The design is more restrained than the other landmark skyscrapers in the modern neighbourhood, which hosts one of the tallest twisting towers in the world. Neva Towers instead employs a relatively simple massing methodology with some setbacks and indentations providing intrigue to the building form. A reflective curtain wall lines both towers as they each culminate with a glazed crown fit for panoramic penthouse views. The facades of the skyscrapers will also be adorned with pylons that narrow in size as they ascend.

The development envisions an amenity infrastructure that includes a swimming pool, fitness centre, golf simulator, squash courts, a cinema, and karaoke studios. With an eye for LEED Gold certification, the development should be completed in 2019.
