Currently on the rise in downtown Houston, Marlowe, a 20-storey, 100-unit residential tower by local developers Randall Davis Co. and DC Partners, has been making steady progress ever since its ground breaking back in the fall. Located within view of the Toyota Center and just blocks from the Discovery Green park, Marlowe is the latest in a series of developments that have come to define the city centre over the last few years.

Following the clearance of the site during the summer, construction began in October and the first concrete pilings rose above grade in November, as seen in the image below. Framed on either side by a collection of highrise apartment towers and condos, along with the more recently completed Hilton Hotel, Marlowe can be considered among the latest in Houston's urban transformation.

Designed to resemble a pinstriped suite, Marlowe will carry an Old Hollywood vibe and aesthetic throughout, its unit types named for such silver screen legends as Brando, Newman, and Redford. Large and luxurious by design, the one- and two-bedroom units will average 1,200 square feet and will feature 10-foot ceilings complemented by high-end appliances and finishes.

In addition to the regular units, there will be seven penthouse suites, each with 12-foot ceilings, solar shades, upgraded kitchens, and extra-large terraces. Set to take up the top two floors, the penthouses, along with the building's various amenity spaces, will enjoy superior views of the Houston skyline.
