Midtown Manhattan's Murray Hill neighbourhood has experienced a major uptick in its housing options as Fisher Brothers recently announced the official launch of leasing at House 39, a 297-residence highrise at 225 East 39th Street. Featuring a design by Handel Architects and interiors by Rockwell Group, units inside the 36-storey LEED certified tower are starting at $3,115 per month.

"House 39 was designed to stand out in an area of typical architecture," said Handel Architects Managing Partner Gary Handel. "The gently curving glass facade provides a tranquility to the building, while inside, residents will have amazing floor-to-ceiling views." Comprised of contemporary studio to three-bedroom homes boasting nine-foot ceiling heights, the windows will frame views of New York landmarks like the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building. Chef-style kitchens with breakfast bars, custom graphite oak cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and grey stained white oak flooring comes standard throughout.

Residents entering the building are greeted by a grand lobby serviced by a double helical staircase. On the same floor, a state-of-the-art fitness centre gives residents the opportunity for on-site workouts. Upstairs, an amenity level boasts a fire pit, library, conference centre, and individual workstations. For those looking to hone their cooking skills or rekindle their childhood, demonstration and catering kitchens are on offer alongside an arcade and game room, which is naturally equipped with skee ball, ping pong, a billiards table, and a photo booth. This space is also attached to a great lawn for bocce ball and shuffle board use. An outdoor children's playground and indoor children's clubhouse ensures all-weather fun for the kids.

The top of the building has been decked out with indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a pool, and a party room, with a wraparound roof terrace complete with cabanas, an outdoor fire pit and gas grills. "Our goal was to create a residential oasis amidst the bustle of Manhattan," said David Rockwell, Founder and President of Rockwell Group. "We developed a design language of luxurious natural materials, a subdued colour palette, and finely wrought craft to express the sense of holistic wellness at House 39."
