In a stroke of serendipity, Miami's 52-storey Biscayne Beach development has officially marked completion, one year to the day SkyriseCities covered the condominium's well-attended topping off ceremony. With construction of the 391-unit bayfront tower now complete, Two Roads Development and GTIS Partners are moving forward with unit closings, as the issuance of an initial temporary certificate of occupancy gives clearance for residents to take ownership of their new homes.

Located at 2900 NE 7th Avenue along Biscayne Bay in Miami's vibrant East Edgewater neighbourhood, residents are expected to begin moving in this summer after a final certificate of occupancy is issued. There are a number of unit sizes and types in the building, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom condominiums, townhome-style beachhouse units, and two-storey upper penthouses with their own private rooftop pools and gardens. Only two premium penthouse residences and one beachhouse unit remain available, with prices set from $1.6 million to $9.4 million.

A members-only Beach Club level overlooks the bay with private cabanas, a zero-entry pool, and a renowned restaurant and bar. A library, billiards room, summer kitchen, fitness centre, and full-service spa are also packed within the confines of the development.

The East Edgewater neighbourhood has recently become a magnet for luxury highrise living, a stark contrast from the urban blight that once marred much of the area fabric. Spanning one-and-a-half miles along the water between the Venetian and Julia Tuttle Causeways — which link to the glamorous Miami Beach — the neighbourhood is centrally accessible and ripe for intensification.

"The launch of Biscayne Beach set the bar for the revitalization of the now-thriving East Edgewater neighbourhood, marking a new era for an area that had gone underutilized for years," said developer Reid Boren, Managing Partner of Two Roads Development. "Miami's urban core has quickly become a place where people want to work, play and now, live — and we're excited to be a part of that transformation."
