Architecture practice PCA-STREAM and developer Groupama Immobilier have revealed their scheme for a new office tower that would become the tallest building in Paris' densely clustered La Défense business district. Called The Link, the development appears to be composed of two towers of differing heights, though a central spine of 30 sky gardens connects the duo together.

Each of the aerial links will be at least eight metres wide and enriched with terraces and hanging gardens. Functioning as collaborative meeting and working spaces, the walls will be made of glass to ensure an ample amount of sunlight enters the space. A vegetated rooftop, a business centre, a workout space and a plethora of cafes and restaurants have been incorporated into the design as amenities to tenants.

The two wings of the tower will reach structural pinnacles of 244 and 174 metres, with 51 and 34 levels across the interior program. The project will replace three seven-storey buildings dating back to the early 1980s. The site is one of three being considered by oil and gas multinational Total S.A., who will be relocating approximately 5,000 workers.

The developer is aiming for a delivery date of 2021. Additional images and information can be found in the Database file linked below. Want to get involved in the discussion or share your photos?
