Last September, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and one of Quebec's leading property development and management companies, Carbonleo, announced plans to build a new Four Seasons hotel and branded private residences along Rue de la Montagne in the heart of Downtown Montreal. Nine months later, the partnership is beginning to see the fruits of their labour, as the highrise block takes shape on a property that was previously used for surface parking.

The building will include 163 rooms and 18 exclusive private residences. A state-of-the-art spa, indoor pool, fitness centre, and a terrace-equipped 6,000-square-foot ballroom heightens the experience for hotel guests. There will also be three dining venues housed within the development, adding to Montreal's celebrated food scene.

"Montrealers have been waiting to see how de la Montagne Street would evolve, and we're very proud to be part of this unique project while contributing to the revitalization of this downtown area," said Carbonleo's Andrew Lutfy at the September announcement. "Our vision is to create an architectural ode to extraordinary urban living that will help redefine Montreal’s famous Golden Square Mile. This will become an exciting lifestyle and dining epicentre for both Montrealers and visitors, linking the Bell Centre to the museum district in the heart of the action."

The building will share a connection to the popular Ogilvy's department store next door, one of Montreal's esteemed high-end retail complexes. When complete in 2018, the project will join the hotelier's nationwide portfolio of facilities, including its hotels and resorts in Toronto and Vancouver.
