A new skyscraper aims to take London's reputation for lofty living to the clouds with a 75-storey tower fittingly called Landmark Pinnacle. With an unmistakable presence at the head of South Dock on the edge of Canary Wharf, the 233-metre-tall tower will give its residents uninterrupted views westward and eastward.

Developer Chalegrove Properties and architect Squire and Partners have already completed construction on two shorter buildings, known as Landmark East and West, which at 45- and 30-storeys apiece, are themselves nothing to sneeze at in terms of height. Now, the team is adding a third tower to the dynamic, unifying their landscaped areas and pedestrian routes along the waterfront.

The building is oriented on an axis to maximize daylight and waterside views for all residents. A series of pronounced glazed amenity floors are spread throughout the volume and culminate in a double-height tower crown. With five entire floors dedicated to amenities, residents will be afforded an extensive entertainment package. Media rooms and a private cinema anchor the lowest amenity floors, while the 27th level is equipped with a children's play area and a formal garden lounge. Workout spaces, a large social lounge, two private dining rooms, and a library fill out the 56th floor, leaving the top of the building for two roof terraces.

Residences from levels 11 to 55 offer space up to two-bedroom apartments, with the remaining upper levels containing one- to three-bedroom layouts. Squire and Partners, also responsible for the interior design, will fashion living spaces with white walls, timber floors and brushed chrome and black ironmongery. Each apartment also comes with a winter garden, which can be accessed from the bedroom or living area.
