Three months after our previous photo update, CMC Group's Brickell Flatiron is beginning to make a discernible impact on the Miami skyline. Set to rise 64 storeys into the air, the luxury residential tower by veteran developer Ugo Colombo features a design by local architect Luis Revuelta that combines a flatiron shape with an undulating system of balconies, external characteristics that are now taking shape.

Approximately 60 percent of the development's 549 units had been sold by early summer, when the limited collection of penthouses were released for sale. Located on floors 50 through 64 and priced from $1 million to $15.5 million, the residences include single-storey units, two-storey duplexes, and three-storey triplex upper penthouses.

The largest units will encompass nearly 6,500 square feet of space, with soaring 10- and 11-foot-high ceilings, premium finishes and fixtures, and panoramic skyline views marking the penthouses. A pair of triplex units will feature private terraces with rooftop pools, summer kitchens, and private elevator vestibules.

Taking advantage of the location's superlative views, a rooftop amenity space on the 64th floor envisions a bustling recreational hub complete with a spa, pool, and 6,300-square-foot fitness centre. An additional slate of amenities confers a private movie theatre, resort-style lap pool, billiards and cigar room, and wine cellar.
