After developing real estate in Jersey City's Newport neighbourhood for over three decades, LeFrak has now delivered their 42-storey anchor project. Tenants have begun moving into the Arquitectonica-designed Ellipse, a luxury rental tower overlooking the Hudson River and the Manhattan skyline.

Being sited on the riverfront, residents are afforded panoramic views of the cityscape through floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The building's oval shape contains 381 residences, from studios to three-bedroom homes. There are also five penthouse apartments, two of which contain four bedrooms. Each residence is finished with oak plank hardwood floors, high-end stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and in-unit washer/dryers.

Ellipse comes with an extensive amenity and service package, totalling 24,000 square feet of space. A two-level lobby, serviced by a 24-hour doorman, welcomes residents to the building. A co-working space, multipurpose lounge, game room, state-of-the-art gym, and children's playroom fill out the interiors with a range of entertainment and recreational options. An outdoor pool and terrace equipped with a barbecue area and fire pit is the premier feature, and sits atop the adjoining parking garage.

Offsite, Ellipse residents are expected to take advantage of the neighbourhood's green conveniences, including the 4.25-acre Newport Green park, which includes the only urban beach on the Hudson River, plus a 17,000-square-foot playground and 30,000-square-foot turf field.

Pricing at Ellipse starts at $2,600 a month for studios. Almost 60 percent of the building has been leased after launching back in April.
