The partners behind YUL Condominiums have once again forged a relationship that paves the path for another residential project in Montreal. The 19-storey StanBrooke, developed by Brivia Group and Gansu Tianqing Real Estate Group began construction in January 2017, and has since hit grade, ready to take its place in the city skyline.

The rental tower at 2061 Stanley Street, near Sherbrooke Street, will hold 176 bachelor, one- and two-bedroom living arrangements. Residents will have an onsite fitness centre and a view-laden roof terrace to indulge in when the project completes in 2018. Montreal firm Marco Manini Architect created the architectural concept, which was further developed by Humphreys & Partners Architects

Concrete panels and stone will clad the base of the building, while the upper levels are sheathed in glazing to maximize views and the entrance of daylight. An aluminum veil on the corner of the building will lead from the ground floor to the roof, extend across, and frame the terrace.

StanBrooke is expected to attract a wide range of prospective renters, but is especially positioned towards young professionals and students from McGill and Concordia universities. Market studies conducted by the proponents prior to the launch of the development confirmed that the site was an ideal candidate for a rental building, attributed to the neighbourhood's strong contingent of office towers.
