High-end car manufacturer Aston Martin has broken ground on its first-ever real estate project, a 66-storey skyscraper in Downtown Miami. Developed by G&G Business Developments, the luxury 391-unit tower promises a James Bond-esque experience moulded within a curving building envelope designed by Revuelta Architecture and Bodas Miani Anger.

The milestone comes one year removed from the project's public announcement. CEO of G&G Business Developments German Coto said the start of construction is a "confirmation of our commitment to follow our own strict timeline." Demonstrating their confidence in the long-term viability of the market, the development partners have said they were willing to fund construction independently regardless of market conditions.

The Wednesday groundbreaking follows a strong June sales launch that has since registered approximately $160 million in deposits, equalling about 25 percent of all the units. Aston Martin Residences is the only pre-construction project currently for sale that is located directly on the water in the downtown core.

The development at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way is also the first condominium tower to break ground in Downtown Miami this year. The 249-metre-tall tower expresses itself with a sail-shaped profile of glass and steel that mimics the marina setting.

The project's portfolio of one- to five-bedroom apartments joins a crowning collection of seven penthouses and one duplex penthouse that are equipped with private pools and expansive terraces. Ranging from 700 to an eye-popping 19,000 square feet, the residences are priced from $600,000 to $50 million.

Trademark Aston Martin design elements will adorn the interior of the building, with carbon fibre reception desks in the two private lobbies, bespoke artisan door handles, and kestrel tan leather door tabs. Over 42,000 square feet of amenities traverse four full levels between the 52nd and 55th floor. Here, residents will be able to make use of a double-level fitness centre, spinning studio, boxing gym, virtual golf room, art gallery, two cinemas, and a full-service spa.

The building is on track for completion in 2021. Additional images and information can be found in the Database file linked below. Want to get involved in the discussion or share your photos? Check out the associated Forum thread or leave a comment in the field provided at the bottom of this page.
