The Chicago neighbourhood of Streeterville is getting a major addition in the form of a curvy 47-storey tower developed by Jupiter Realty Company. Located between Navy Pier and the historic Tribune Tower, 465 North Park employs two angled ellipses that orient windows towards key view corridors.
A base that includes 181 parking stalls and nearly 12,000 square feet of commercial space establishes the building's street presence. The Pappageorge Haymes Partners-designed complex will contain 444 luxury rental units and a fifth floor amenities deck with a sky terrace on the 37th floor. Spanning those spaces will be a pool and cabanas, a fireplace-equipped lounge, a club room with billiards, a fitness centre, and a dog run.
On track for a 2018 opening, 465 North Park has swiftly entered the Chicago skyline. There appear to be just a few more floors until structural top-out, and a sleek wall of glazing continues to rise not far behind vertical construction.
