Eastside, thank you for the heads up! I didn't know I could move so fast!

You're right Jaborandi... much happy dancing going on. It's one of many milestones indeed.

In fact, this may have been one of those times UTGA could have assembled on Charles and shared some bubbly, toasting the scene as it unfolded in front of us.

Predictably, I was on site asap to snap some pics.

^My new best friend. (You can't blame me for zooming in, can you?)

BELOW: A 360 degree view of the model. (I call it, "Casa Porn")

I expect this gleaming white tower crane to hug the eastern balconies pictured in the first pic below.

casaguy:

Do you know what they're going to use for the opaque material at the podium level? Black brick? And are the lights for the finial going to be LED blue?

^Very good questions that I do not know the answers to.

I don't trust anything the sales people say, so I think it's just a matter of asking the construction crew when the time comes.

May or may not be relevant... but in the large render book I was given, the insides of the east and west walls on either side of the 4 floors of glass are reddish/brown bricks. I am only assuming that they will continue that treatment on the outside as well.

The renderings remind me of the brick on the Florian Sales Centre which is a sort of purplish black. It is actually quite nice. aA seems to always use superior brick in their buildings. The Four Seasons Centre also has a very stylish dark purplish black brick. Fingers crossed.

Celebration indeed, Casa is moving along at a fine pace!

I know where I'll be tomorrow with my camera.... :D

Why is the inside body of the tower lit? It obviously won't be lit in reality.

As the tower has yet to be built, it's "reality" is still to be established. The advertising rendering and the model hinted at a lit roof element, and I am basing my hopes on those subtle little hint.

I would presume the inside of the tower will be lit in reality by people who buy lights and turn them on - though not lit to the extent shown by the model.

Casa Condominium Progress Sept 29, 2007

Good to see my boys working on a Saturday. Apparently they got my memo.

In hindsight, maybe "rebar" might have been a good business to get into.

I think they leave it in there, let it starve to death, and then quietly burry it one night.

I might be wrong on this, though.
