Reading between the lines of the various books etc it sounds like Renata's been thru counselling/rehab cycles before and for over a decade. Also sounds like the Fords are happy to say they're close to her and her children when it looks like they're quite happy to leave her and the kids to her mother's care. Under normal circumstances losing a parent and a husband would be rough, but for someone with a heavy addiction it could be disastrous. I hope that someone does get her into a real rehab and make sure the kids are okay - the description of their house given by Towhey (and that was when the grandparents were involved daily) sounds like there shouldn't have been kids living there at all.
 
To me, the idea of Renata going to SpaHab is laughable--it's like "Princess" Basso going to SpaHab. And basically, for Rob's purposes Renata was a "betrothable" proxy for Princess, without Princess's street smarts but a lot more matrimonially/politically palatable from an optics POV.

At least this present thread diversion hasn't gone into big conjecture about their children beyond the generic--other than, I guess, my wondering if Dougie is taking his MiniRob thing 24/7. (And of course, the hazard with overpathologizing that hypothesis is that trollish pro-Fords could just as well throw it back in our face, i.e. we're nothing more than "haters" implying that Dougie's disturbed while coddling 9-year-olds with "gender dysphoria")
 
Odd though that the FoFam amnesty is suddenly withdrawn by the local constabulary after years and years of non-prosecution for street/road "crimes" (not to mention domestic assaults). Sheee-it, the stuff Rob got away with since his youth throughout his mayoralty (police escort service home on his benders!). Why decide now to start charging Renata? I can't help wondering what - or who - else is at play here.

Its not like they found her overdosed on fentanyl. Is this part of the Police Reformation/Transformation "confidence building" process?
 
She's been charged/convicted before and had an interlock device, sounds to me like the protective bubble only surrounded her late husband.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Renata (pre-marriage) caught up in Rob's 1999 Florida pot bust as well?

Also remember that from her Facebook evidence, no Ford other than her kids was present or acknowledged at her father's burial, if not his funeral. (And did the Fords themselves acknowledge his death, other than through Worms et al proxy?)
 
Re Fla - Renata appears to have been at the condo while future hubby was driving around blasted about 45 minutes away late at night.

Re Renata's father - no sign of any Ford presence at the funeral from photos/videos posted on her FB. Don't recall any public condolences from the Fords at the time.
