Looks like that small car sales centre is history

I've noticed that the used car dealership on site has vacated recently, so it's good to know this is what's up. Would be cool to see a slim 7 storey building rise here. That Lansdowne/Dundas/College triangle is full of sites ripe for redevelopment. I'd love to see the car wash, and the plaza at the College intersection go next.

Wow, this is right in my back yard. I'm excited to see what's planned here -- would be great if this is were a catalyst for the revitalization of underused properties along Dundas West. I'm thinking of the former payday loan property right across Lansdowne, now a gallery of some kind, plus the properties @AlbertC mentioned.

City staff I spoke to about the railpath extension mentioned that any future redevelopment of the No Frills property would have to accommodate public access to the railpath through the site, and that there had already been discussions between city staff and the property owner about such a redevelopment. So I'd expect to see something proposed within the next few years.

Perhaps they can negotiate a return for No Frills once the entire development is completed. Or least configure retail space considerations to allow for a supermarket in the future, just like how the Carnaby at Queen & Gladstone has Metro.

In terms of No Frills, I'd say this location along with the one at Dufferin Mall to be two of the best run in the West End and maybe even in the city. If a redevelopment plan goes through and brings in a large amount of new residents, then a replacement grocery amenity is going to be needed to serve the growing community.

Yes! I'm very curious to see what gets proposed here - the immediate area has so much potential.

The land is owned by Choice Properties REIT and only a bit smaller than what they own and have.proposed at Dundas + Bloor
so yes, sooner or later we will see something happen there

I also heard rumour that the building owned by Downtown Rental on the other side of the bridge @ the corner of Sorauren is up for grabs for development

I don't even mind if this ends up being really ugly — it'll blend in and the angles at the top might look kinda cool and it seems otherwise a pretty impressive little building. To get a bunch of residential units on top of a non-residential space on the ground floor is welcome. I hope this area becomes more activated and the City invests in much-needed pedestrian and cycling safety infrastructure for this extremely dangerous area.

I was hoping the fugly little apartment immediately to the east would also be included in this development. Guess not.
