Excavation is largely complete, but seems to be moving really slow. Hope this one doesn't stall out.

Pretty sure they aren't allowed to do that, must have been something else.
I can't tell from the pics, but it was common practice to have coals burning away under bails of hay, in order to thaw the ground. I don't know if they still do that these days.
