Just rode floor grade from Edinburgh International to Haymarket Station. Train feels swift considering how it integrates into the surrounding roads and it was really comfortable.
Noise? What noise. That thing was so quiet inside and out. WLRT is going to be rolling past my ground floor condo when completed and I’m convinced it’ll actually reduce noise as a result of less automobile traffic. THAT was on my mind for years, but I cannot wait to see it tie my community to the West End now.

I have a bad feeling that TransEd really messed up on the issue of concrete and we may be seeing issues crop up for years.

Was there any additional rebar installed in these piers? The epoxy is pretty strong stuff, but I do have some concerns about (what looks like) that sheer and flexure cracking underneath if they haven't reinforced the structure.

Perhaps they just found these issues now that they're doing testing (this death of a thousand cuts is brutal waiting fir the latest snafu).
I'd wait for a transEd announcement, but frankly, don't trust anything from those keystone cops.

They assured the public last year it was fine, so I'm assuming they checked it out. However, these are the same people who, before the cracks were announced, said everything was fine, only a month later to announce that the previous month (when they said all was good) they found cracks. So I'm guessing they knew and put it off or thought by not looking it would go away on its own.
