Happy to see this revived and hoping to see it move through relatively quickly. Happy about the height but agree that the design is inoffensive but boring. It almost looks like an exact copy of Icon but with straight edges (vs curvy). Would like to see them at least do a different colour (like the bronze in the previous proposal) to differentiate it.

The Design is actually not bad, it's simple and you can't really screw up straight edges. 50s, yeah i agree Shovels in the ground.

I was too late to say don't waste your time showing the SKY but squares are more accurate then what we all were hoping for. The heights are changing, it's being phased, it's being dumbed down like everyone should have expected.

Now this in the Ottawa Business Journal yesterday:

My guess is they would like to have it done by the time the new hospital is open.
No doubt! There is no better place for our new tallest to be built considering the hospital! Now we need Arnon to get off their asses and show us a new proposal with a grocery store on their lot in the middle of Little Italy!

Ottawa/R
Most support it but a few said we should limit buildings to 15 floors outside of downtown.A couple said we should have a limit 12 floors city wide even downtown.

CTV
Most said its fine one women said its way to tall .

I think overall people are more open to tall buildings but still a few have issues with it and are stuck in the past.

So, what are the odds this starts next year folks? Claridge's byward project should be done by then. Or is this going to be a Sky situation where it's on limbo for years?
