Yes, it is a waste of great location. Although actually, I think many hospitals look better. It has been quite a while since our former mayor said no more crap. It seems crap has a way of creeping back in.

Sent as well. I don't hate it as much as most of you do, but we can and should expect more from a project that will occupy such a huge footprint.

My problem with hating this is that the prominent Edmonton developers should be bringing enough quality to drown out how bad this is.

Obviously I'm happy with the unit count, but this shouldn't even be a competitive proposal.

I ultimately want more people living DT above anything else.

Yeah, on a practical level I'm skeptical of how well these will rent. Maybe if the interiors are really thoughtfully designed, but if the exteriors are this bland that doesn't seem likely.

I think a certain kind of developer thinks that students are undiscerning and will put up with anything—hence all the awful projects in Garneau and Strathcona. I hope they're wrong.

Nah it's just bad design. Montreal's CHUM hospital looks better and has better urban integration than much of Edmonton's residential right in the core.

I think one of the sad parts about this building, or even this area, is the building that we see that potentially will be built is going to be still looking way better than the building right across the streets from it there on 106th Street

Is this being strategic enough? I would think in this day and age, that people covet their LinkedIn profiles? Why not be strategic with criticism of Faction Projects on their LinkedIn? In a simple search, I have come up with three potential company personnel to target: Bruce Chapman, Director; Avi Thiessen, Director of Operations, and Merlin Everett (Development Coordinator - Edmonton). I am a new member so if this is not an appropriate post please remove.
