    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

Based on my observations in Europe especially in Germany where in residential neighbourhoods often give way signs are common: The driver/ car coming from the right has always the right of way. You can’t argue who is first at a crossing. The driver from the right as the right lol Drivers usually...

    St Lawrence Market

@DSC - glad to hear that the BIA is supportive of more pedestrian space. I think there is much more that can be done. E.g. a Christmas market around the SLM. Last week, I contacted Chris Moise’s office re several public space deficiencies. South of the St James park the flower planters are an...

    St Lawrence Market

@DSC thank you very much for the heads up. Glad to hear. It’s sad that it’s so late. Yorkville did it weeks ago to close a side street to cars and reserves it to pedestrians and patios. I’m confused that the BIA has no information on their webpage re pedestrianised Market street...

Meanwhile a few kilometers north in Yorkville. Over a month customers of “merchants” on Bellair St. enjoying a pedestrian only space. Including high quality seating furniture - donated by various cooperations!

@PinkLucy - 311 will not do much. I wrote our city councillors Moise. His office said it’s expecting to go forward to pedestrianise Market St. Today the road sign equipment to close have been placed to the north east corner of the entrance of Market St. Late, but it’s something. By talking to...

    St Lawrence Market

Market St besides the St. Lawrence Market is still open for cars. It was supposed to close for drivers yesterday. Sad! https://secure.toronto.ca/council/agenda-item.do?item=2023.TE3.40

Thank you, @DSC. Those market merchants are not concerned about potential customer as they are regarding their cheap parking spot. See how below what a nonsense with those vehicles on Market St. and those are clearly not clients.

    St Lawrence Market

@DSC much to your and our delight new trees will be planted on Monday 29th May on Market St. However, why it takes such a long discussion to close such a small stretch to cars is beyond me. Look at all the destroyed bollards and street overall caused by of some vendors oversized vehicles. It’s...

Road Safety & Vision Zero Plan

@W. K. Lis I wonder why you are calling driving test strict? I’m aware of you pass the test you are receiving a drivers permit in Germany. Better than just a license! LOL

    Cycling infrastructure (Separated bike lanes)

@Northern Light - I watched the story about High Park and how everything evolved. Where are we right now and we have been before in terms of car access? We had weekend and statutory holidays no car access already. Some funny stuff member who no one elected and no one knows influenced by who...

    The Meadoway, 200ha

I went to the Military trail connection today. Still under construction. The trail cutting through the soil is looking impressive!

    St Lawrence Market

@DSC that means we only see a temporary closure of Market St for cars this year, but extended by two weeks into October compared to last year? I thought it was decided in the previous last years motion to have Market St pedestrians only for the full year?
