They didn't 'record' new announcements, the train has an onboard software-based enunciator. This handles all stop announcements and door announcements. That is also why it sounds more 'computerized' because it is exactly that - a fembot. :)

Though I also found this initially discouraging, I later noticed that actually the T1s have this exact same space, with whatever mechanical equipment overhead and reducing the ceiling height on both ends, we just dun usually notice it since we couldn't walk between the cars now, but check it out...

Passed by the Downsview TBM launch shaft today - large majour components (cylindrical) of what are obviously the TBMs are collecting on site, of course with LOVAT boldly present on some of them. It looks like they are presently receiving the TBM.

I'm a T.O boy through-and-through, but I am really happy that 'sauga got this building. Besides, we're all a big urban family anyways. This is sort of like their CN tower - a defining point that puts them on the map and makes them distinct and gives them recognition. Way to go Mississauga ...

It doesn't cut exoskeletons. It is extremely effective at absorbing water, small insects such as bedbugs and cockroaches who walk over diatomaceous earth get very violently dehydrated and that's what kills them. It is not nearly effective enough to cause dehydration by 'breathing it in' or...

I've done exactly that, as a matter of fact, IKEA at Sheppard and Leslie area has a dedicated shuttle van between the Ikea and Leslie stn. I live downtown, and once bought an entire sofa-that-folds-into-a-bed contraption from that IKEA, and brought it all the way home exclusively on TTC, 3...

I really don't mean to produce any unwarranted hype, but I did pass by wilson yard today, and I noticed a mobile crane on the west side of the car houses. It seems like just the kind of crane to be used to hoist the new cars off a flatbed and onto a track. It makes sense considering that the...

    Rossi promises traffic tunnel

Lol. +1 It really is that bad; and that sad.

    Rossi promises traffic tunnel

I am absolutly dumbfounded by how INSANE this idea is. "OMG" Firstly, even if it did get built, it would probably be gridlocked for all of rush-hour anyways. Its been know for quite some times that if you add highway capacity, it doesn't relive traffic, it just permits more traffic...
