    Baby, we got a bubble!?

The price was so much lower than what he wanted. Such a risky strategy that could backfire. Though in this kind of market not as much of a risk I suppose. He did get a lot more eyeballs on the property.

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

Funny that you mention Oshawa. I was at an open house this past weekend in North Oshawa and I have to say that I have *never* seen such a frenzy before. And it wasn't would be home owners viewing the property. Instead the open house was infested with "investors". Everyone is looking to buy and...

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

I don't disagree with you. Something has to give eventually. With that said, we have been saying this for years now. Excluding the blip in '08, prices have essentially been on the upswing since 2001. This RE bull market is unprecedented in its length. And it seems as though there is no end in...

    Nordstrom

OK. Makes sense. But I wonder how Saks is doing so well according to HBC? Unless it is all smoke and mirrors? Speaking about menswear specifically, I found Nordstrom at TEC to have the best selection of every day 'common man' clothing than Nordstrom Yorkdale or Saks on Queen. So from a menswear...

    Nordstrom

What do you think the issue is with the TEC location? Would it be the location itself? The mall is quite busy most of the time. I wonder if Saks is struggling as much?

    Sears Canada (1952-2017)

I really have to wonder what Eddie was thinking all those years ago when he bought Kmart and then Sears? I remember Sears holdings stock being over $100/share. At the time many investors thought his Sears acquisition was a real estate play, yet he didn't really sell off any assets at all in...

    Glazed glass care/maintenance?

Is it bad to use Windex or any type of amonia cleaner on the exterior of these glazed glass?

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

Are any of the seasoned agents or investors in this thread surprised at all with these numbers? Do you expect to see the same kind of YOY gains in February 2017?

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

The TREB report says the YOY % change for 416 condos was 17.8%. It outpaced detached and towns but not semis. Impressive. Would there be any data that focuses on just the C01 condo YOY price change? Didn't see it in the report.

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

Ahh... the good old days when we all thought $600/psf was expensive. :) At the end of the day, if rents don't keep up then investors will flee (assuming they want to be cash flow positive). This should in theory cause prices to come down. The big question is, will rents keep up with escalating...

    Baby, we got a bubble!?

Let's stop for a moment and look at at a couple of sample buildings downtown and ask ourselves if the current asking prices make sense. Theatre Park and King Charlotte are both asking for $800psf for the former and $700-760psf for the latter. Based on current rental rates, do these prices make...

Thompson Residences (Freed Developments) - Real Estate -

It looks like I'm bumping up and old thread here but I had a question. Does anyone know if this building has registered yet? Apparently the amenities are not yet complete as well as a lot of other common areas like the hallways on various floors.

Exposed Concrete... how dusty will it get?

Thanks again to both of you. Unless I am over thinking this, would there not be some kind of health hazard? I can't imagine concrete dust would be good to breathe in over any extended period of time. Concrete contains silica (unless something has changed) which is nasty stuff.
