    Edmonton | Winspear Centre Completion Project | 29.87m | 4s | Winspear Centre | Andrew Bromberg

I didn't realize I said that was the primary purpose at all; rather, I was pointing out that it hasn't helped spur development in the quarters.

    Edmonton | Winspear Centre Completion Project | 29.87m | 4s | Winspear Centre | Andrew Bromberg

If the Winspear hasn't spurred development in the Quarters to date, I don't think this new expansion will suddenly be the driver. People need basic necessities and safety to want to live in a neighbourhood, not an improved music and concert hall. I say that as someone who frequents the Winspear...

The Mercury Block II | Hodgson Schilf Evans

I've had hardwood for 7 years with 3 cats and a dog, and you can't tell. I'm also not on my hands and knees inspecting the flooring though. The baseboards are another matter...

The Mercury Block II | Hodgson Schilf Evans

It should have been called "Adequate Vinyl Planking". LVP is the furthest thing from luxury (not to mention it is toxic) - I hate what marketing and PR firms have done to us.

Valley Line LRT | TransEd/Marigold | City of Edmonton

They face the same problems as we do. https://www.luxtimes.lu/luxembourg/almost-one-tram-crash-every-month-in-luxembourg-data-shows/60786503.html - 75 crashes since opening https://yle.fi/a/74-20056818 https://www.bbc.com/news/av/uk-england-nottinghamshire-45902994 - 40 crashes in a year I...

    Edmonton | Tower 101 | 175m | 50s | Regency Developments | DER + Associates

I meant the rentals side of the equation.

    Miscellaneous

Woof. Just make the roof flat, and the project looks significantly better.

Montreal has several hotels set up like this now. I don't see why it wouldn't work here.

    Edmonton | The Augustana | 96m | 30s | Pangman | DIALOG

Office was never the problem - those people just went home and used the gym closer to their houses. I forget what it was even called, but it was always dead, no matter when I went. It was a no-frills type of place, though, so perhaps people used other gyms that had more offerings at the time...

    Stollery Children's Hospital

I realize that and didn't mean the direct planning. Planning includes consultation on location, as well as servicing requirements (City coordinates) and legal lot setup. Looking at edmonton maps, they are going to need to consolidate lots. I imagine we will see applications if they actually want...

Hopefully, the gym does well. There used to be another on this block, but it was never busy.

    Stollery Children's Hospital

I imagine this will become yet another election issue, just like the Super Lab was last time. They will begin servicing the site in the hope that it will make it harder for any subsequent government to kill the project. The site that Ian links to makes so much more sense. The fact that that site...

    General Infill Discussion

    Looks like future slums tbh.

    Stollery Children's Hospital

How about we let people be critical of the project while also acknowledging that the project is long overdue. Those things don't need to be mutually exclusive. No need to gatekeep discussion; one can just go to the legislature for that.

Edmonton City Centre Mall (Renovations) | ?m | 2s | LaSalle Investment Management

You got me; they must be doing the floors too.
