The current traffic signal already has a green arrow in the bottom position. Replacing the 4 signal box with a 3 signal box just to remove the green light that no longer illuminates is a labour cost (I'm sure they can and do reuse the hardware elsewhere) that I totally support them not incurring.

The main utility of them for me is to protect my bottles from each other. I often have a reusable bag on me, but I don't plan ahead to bring several just because I'm grabbing booze. Also, I'm always taking one less than the number of bottles I have cause one can just sit outside of paper.

I think you mean some Transit City projects in general and the Sheppard LRT project specifically were supposed to be delivered in advance of ION. AFAIK Crosstown was always being delivered after ION given how long it would take for the tunnelled section.
