    Calgary & Alberta Economy

I believe they stated that the first several new water bombers (the DHC-515) will be built in their current facilities at YYC (they have multiple buildings scattered around as @darwink posted) until their new factory (de haviland field) is ready.

    Calgary Regional Rail Transit

As far as I know, they already have an MOU or something with CPKC on the Banff rail project. However, who knows how easy it'll be when they try actually getting down to the details of building and operating it.

    Calgary | Midtown Station | ?m | ?s | IBI Group

It'll be decades before the whole thing gets built. But I wouldn't be surprised if we see at least one or two buildings in the next 5-8 years here.

    Statscan numbers

Global news this morning said Calgary grew by 71000

    Roads, Highways & Infrastructure

Makes sense, It's the only line LRT terminus that actually ends at basically the last communities/edge of the city limits. Unless it got a lot closer to Cochrane (which probably doesn't make sense) its a long way off from needing an extension.

    Calgary | The Hat Elbow River | 177.99m | 56s | Cidex Group | NORR

Yeah, projects passing the proposal stage have slowed a lot as the presale market is not as strong in TO right now ( at least compared to what it was). There are still tons of new proposals though, I figure most developers want to try and get the zoning and such approved so that when they feel...

    Calgary | Calgary Event Centre | 36.85m | 11s | CSEC | HOK

I'm curious, will the revenue from this fee be paid to the city on top of the lease payment by CSEC?

    Single use bylaw

Well, that has to be one of the shorter-lived bylaws in Calgary. City Council voted to begin the repeal process today. https://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/calgary-councillors-vote-scrap-single-use-items-bylaw

    Calgary | BMO Centre Expansion | 25m | 5s | CMLC

There are few very cities, let alone events that support that size of a stadium. I mean look at BMO field in Toronto, less than a decade old, for a major metro area (4x Calgary) and it only seats about 30K without additional temporary sections.

    Sunalta Heights | 88.39m | 27s | Housing One | S2 Architecture

Surprised at how long it is taking them to finish this. Very slow progress in the last few months. At this rate looks like the Hat across the street will be open first even though it started much later.

    Urban Development and Proposals Discussion

It would be nice to see some development. But as I understand it, Calcutta Cricket Club which was there moved simply because they felt it was a dead zone on 17th surrounded by empty lots and wanted to be in a more attractive location. (now on 1st street SW between 12th and 13th)

It looks like bricks for the back firewall break between this and the building behind.

    Calgary | Green Line LRT | ?m | ?s | Calgary Transit

Yes. They will start off with 2 car trains. But all stations will be built to handle 3 car trains. (The trains are much larger than the current LRT trains to start as well) The designs are not finalized yet, but they have new renderings every now and then you can find on their website. They...

    Canada Immigration discussion

I 100% support reasonable immigration policies. We need it to keep some growth. But it has been out of control. The bigger issue for me isn't even necessarily housing cost. But the fact that its keeping Wages low, but bringing in cheaper TFW. Companies never have to offer wage increases because...

    Toronto Toronto | Rushden Station | 138.1m | 39s | Fitzrovia | bKL Architecture

Activity on site has been increasing again. They were delivering some crane pieces yesterday and had multiple drillers set up on-site again.
