Happy to see this development and more density at this intersection. Hopefully this brings some life to that stretch of Queen East!

Not a problem. Sorry, I just don't share the "condos ruin everything" narrative. People complain about affordability but also complain when more condos go up. The only way to make the city more affordable is by adding more housing supply. As for losing our institutions, I don't agree with that...

The owner of Betty's is actually thankful that this development came around. It will allow them to re-open after the pandemic and remain open for another few years. If not for this development, the owner said they would've never re-opened after March. After this is complete, Betty's will be...

Might be a stupid question but is the Green Onion Market a confirmed retailer? Or just used as an example in the rendering? I'm curious to see how this looks in real-life. I like the brick but the opaque white balconies reminds me of those used for The Wyatt which don't look great imo. I do...

I see a lot of people hating on this in the comments, but I think it looks quite nice. Will be a huge upgrade for the area. And aesthetically it seems to match the near-by One Cole building. This project will really tie in Regent Park to Cabbagetown and bring more vibrancy to this intersection.

This is amazing. Christmas came early. An additional 660,000 square feet of office space proposed during covid times. Huge vote of confidence for the core of this city. I guess everyone won't be WFH forever

Anyone have any idea what % sold this project is?

Not a problem. Reading back, there were some points where I came across as rude so I apologize for that. For the record, if I was your employer I would let you WFH permanently because that seems to make you happiest. But like I said, if the topic came up of cutting costs in a couple years, and I...

Yes, I agree, most people can get away with 2x a week from home, 3 is pushing it I think. Jobs won’t necessarily be outsourced to India, they can be other parts of Canada, rural USA, who knows . But then a lot of questions arise, down the road 4-5x years from now, who will a company promote, the...

You should not have to commute a long way if all you're doing is emailing people. I agree. It sounds as though you are in the small percentage of people who does not need to be in office, and who provides no value to anyone else by being there and being miserable, staring at the clock and trying...

Hi Undead. If all your tasks can be easily be done from the comfort of your own home, and if all you do is spent 8 hours a day writing emails and pretending to look busy, then imagine how easy it would be for your company to outsource that job. It may sound mean, but you have to understand that...

    Toronto Toronto | The HUB | 258.46m | 59s | Oxford Properties | Rogers Stirk Harbour

Hi Undead. While I don't disagree with everything, you are assuming that not a single employee will take advantage of working remotely. This isn't realistic. If companies find out that even 10% of their workforce is slacking, they can call everyone back. People are certainly slacking WFH at my...

I thought I'd chime in here as I've been researching and obsessed over this topic since the beginning of covid. I have been reading every article possible, analyzing job postings, & speaking with many people in the industry. Here are my major findings: From job postings within Toronto, what I...

Thank you. I hope you are right. As long as the project still goes ahead, I'll be happy. Think it will be excellent for the area. If some of the proposed commercial space becomes residential instead, that could also work. Was just wondering if covid will significantly alter/ cause them to...

Does anyone think that covid somehow threatens or significantly alters this proposal (i.e., reduces the demand for commercial space in the area)?
