    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s

Feeling a sense of deja vu here after watching the later stages of Elizabeth Line development. Software was blamed for the significant delays in opening towards the end of the project. The Crossrail people said at the time (five years ago) that a lot of the software testing they wanted to do...

Isn't there fencing just a little further down the road in the direction the picture was taken? There's gotta be some reason why it wasn't installed on the entire stretch up to the DVP.

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

Yeah. People originating in Richmond Hill who are going all the way downtown are probably still going to take the GO train for increased comfort, fewer stops, and nicer view along the way. I don't know if the GO 61 bus will survive when all-day 15-minute service comes to Langstaff GO, but even...

Danforth Line 2 Scarborough Subway Extension

My favourite of these is the Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo railway (TH&B). Famous in part because Hamilton's charming downtown train station was TH&B's headquarters and still bears their marque to this day...... One small problem, though........ maybe the eagle-eyed can figure out what it is.

... and C) Metrolinx plants 1-50 trees for every 1 it cuts down. It works out to a net positive for carbon capture.

Listen, pal, I had to hire an arborist last year to remove two trees that fell on my property after the windstorm in February. One of them narrowly missed hitting my house. The other was an old birch tree that was already on its way out, but my neighbour and I were sad to see it go. It was one...

    Toronto Toronto | Crosstown LRT | ?m | ?s

It leads towards a future where the Mississauga Transitway gets a number when it becomes a rail service (whether it's a continuation of Crosstown or not, I won't even guess at), and I think it's within the realm of reason that the GO lines will get numbers as well. I mean, the names "Lakeshore...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line: Moss Park Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

I really don't understand what point you're trying to make here with regards to Moss Park station, which is the topic of this thread. Did I not just say that several buildings are going up immediately around this station? I found a picture and everything.... They will join several extant towers...

Well, it definitely isn't "discussion" if all you're going to do is snipe at me for making a compelling, rational argument that is grounded in the belief that city-building for all is more important than the momentary enjoyment of a few. (Didn't Spock have a famous line about this?) Like I...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line: Moss Park Station | ?m | ?s | Metrolinx | HDR

I'll restate what I wrote on Twitter about this: Handing over Ontario Place to private developers is seen as bad and needs to be stopped.... but handing over Moss Park is apparently fine? It's like these people actually work in the development & construction industry and are trying to drum up...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

The 2022 Ontario corridor dechero did thousands of times more damage to trees than what was cut down in Seaton for the Ontario Line. The scale of that devastation is beyond anything most Toronto urbanists can wrap their heads around -- most of it passed north of the city. If you drive to Ottawa...

And to combine the two prevailing topics here.... here's the park on Degrassi Street just north of Queen, about 100 years apart. The trees are all different. All of them.... I'm sympathetic towards people who lost some local flora but, c'mon, hard to take anyone seriously who pitches it as...

    Toronto Toronto | Ontario Line 3 | ?m | ?s

The original "Queen Subway" (the underground streetcar) TTC proposal from the 1940s followed the railway corridor as far as Pape/Gerrard. The corridor was owned by the CNR at the time, a crown corporation, so I'm sure they could've figured something out. The route was still mostly industrial at...

    Toronto Pearson International Airport

I believe that's the plan, yes. The 2+1 seat configuration is already confirmed.

Not only that, the Air Canada service is operated the same company that American Airlines uses for their bus service -- Landline.
