I’m glad some schedules are finally out, some of you may have seen this in the GO electrification thread, but here’s a comparison I made between the 2018 Metrolinx FBC for GO Expansion, and the OnCorr development phase schedules from 2023:

This was only directed at people who don’t work on the trains. Engineers conductors and CSA’s are getting transferred over, but managers, supervisors, and other office workers aren’t, so they were told to apply for the same positions at OnXpress before they’re taken by other people.

You’re correct, the travel time for the new express UP train is 23 minutes

The 3D models they created of Union’s future layout has a normal catenary pole in it:

Internal schedules show 23 minutes, but there’s a chance that’s padded as stuff tends to be on GO; we’ll see when service begins

You have to ask yourself though: how would that benefit GO from an operational and safety perspective, and would it be a good use of money that could otherwise go into improving or expanding service on the GO network. To me I see absolutely no benefit in retrofitting the newer rounder cab cars...

The frequencies they’re planning aren’t publicised yet, the 2018 business case is inaccurate but I guess that’s the only source for you to go off of
