NOTHING is happening here. If you look at the set of photos from mid-August and those from early September they show things like pieces of rope in exactly same locations. I assume it is paused so that it can be incorporated into the Ontario Line's Queen Station but ....

I believe the Ontario Line station is being incorporated into the Bay.

That being said, I wonder if the original plan for the space went tits up.

Typically we put vintage pics in one of the photo threads, but this one is very on point, so I thought I'd offer it up here:

It's from The Star, originally, via the Friends Who Like Vintage Toronto Facebook group.

No wondering... I work at the Eaton Centre.... that yellow crane has not moved or working for a long time. I hope that Metrolinx and CF could be a great teamwork to dig up a new idea of that tower. I agree that that old building can be rebuilt to match the beautiful tower. Ontario line construction would be finished by 2030 or so. What do you think of that?

This is one of 4 sites I have seen so far with work taking place on it. Lots of steel banging and assuming the union 720 is working.

Going into the 4th year of construction on this site with a lot more steel up now for the 2 floor addition.

The reverse irony here is that when everything else is shutting down, this one is picking up...

I wonder if IO and Metrolinx told them that they will not have site access (or not easily) once work starts (late 2023?) on the Ontario Line station at that corner and that if they wanted to get it (at least) enclosed they needed to 'get the finger out'.

They have added new steel columns in place of existing ones they were using for new floor steel. Steel deck being place on various floors.

By the looks, steel columns are setup to add another tier of columns and more floors.
