Another Cadillac Fairview renovation hackjob. They specialize in bland and sterile renovations.

CF and WZMH really do deserve each other!

Who is going to use this in an office tower?
Overflow for anyone who couldn't find a "hot desk" at the office upstairs?

Don't look at me, wasn't my idea.............

I find it just as odd, if not preposterous as everyone else.

I don't hate this type of idea as much as some others do, when done properly, in the right setting.

But it's over-used, and poorly executed more often than not.

This is a truly odd spot for it on top of that, which I can't make a lick of sense out of...

Slotting this here, since restoration of the Toronto Club building has been covered in this thread:

Yes, the two projects make rather strange thread-mates! One done sensitively and with 'meticulous attention to detail" and the other NOT. Both though, took (or are taking) a LONG time.

Red Mars posted this pic on the 160 Front thread, it shows that this project (after what seems like years) is nearing completion. Really only the ground floor to finish.

This re-cladding started in 2018 - it is almost over. Was it worth it? Really not sure but CF did not totally screw it up like 401 Bay!
