How is this being financed? I see Orlando Corp in Malton is putting up $25M.
Are there provincial or Municipal dollars involved here?

The city of Brampton had to give away their $50M civic centre that featured the busiest flagship library in the city and arts spaces for free to house TMU Medschool.
They were forced by the Ontario government to find a solution with a narrow window. Creating a building from scratch was not an option.

It sounds like Brampton got screwed compared to the project above with a brand new facility.

U of T is rather more richly resourced than TMU.

I'm not sure I recall the City providing U of T assistance on any projects.

I don't have time to look up the project financing at the moment; but pro-forma for U of T would be the donation, some grant money and debt-financing the balance. But that may/may not be the case here.
