I hate to be that annoying person but any of our bird's-eye view contributors able to say how close we are to ground floor I still have my bet going with a few friends that 11Yvs crane will be down before it gets to ground trying to find out if I'm going to win 😂😂

You are. I’m sure the crane goes down this month, the tower is completely topped off, only cladding for ~3 floors to be completed. I passed by The Pemberton site today, there’s around 1.5 floors to go

Today.

Too many decent-looking buildings in Yorkville lately. We need some mediocre ones to maintain our simcity cred.
Pemberton's got it covered with this impending hulking gutter-trash about to loom over the neighborhood for all to see.

One thing about them, is that they have an infinity for dumping big loads of non-sense that no one can avoid seeing.

There will be so many other tall towers nearby that this one will be mostly hemmed in and not very visible from most angles. I find it difficult to create a good render because of that...

I wouldn’t call the renderings gutter-trash, just banal and dated by at least 15 years. However, we’re talking about Pemberton here. Their renderings are usually WAY better than their built forms, so we might well end up with a big pile of gutter-trash.

That's exactly it, we already know Pemberton doesnt use materials which bring out good in any of their already generic designs. It's usually the opposite and they bring out the worst.

So what we're seeing from their renderings things are bound to be much, much worse.

That's all speculation. Here is more - this should be their signature tower, it might end up OK looking. Let's wait to find out before judging things...

To add: Look at what Pinnacle is building at One Yonge, Sky Tower. I recall the same stuff being said about that too, how horrible it would look... and it seems to be turning out just fine.

It should be remembered that the current proposal was based on the last proposal Cresford-that-was had for this site. Who where known for their decent towers at the time, albeit with creative financing that bit them in the behinies in the end...

...as well as, the same respected architect was hired for the towers here. The antiSocial was hopefully just a fluke. And if they're taking this long, it's gotta be good, right? /crosses fingers
