I love how the green of the train really pops in the winter months when the surroundings are muted blues/browns/greys, and then it will seamlessly blend in the summer amonst all the greenery
All I see is that 12 years later, they still haven't finished repainting the entire GO fleet the same colour.

What was the timeline they originally promised? If they intended to take a decade to do this, I don't know why they didn't just leave it alone - even if the "new" colours look better.

It’s much better than before….wth each passing year more and more get painted into the new livery.

The plan was always to repaint the cars when they get refurbished or when the paint is badly faded, so it was always understood it would take a long time.

But they changed the plan, now - tenders were put out for repainting mass amounts of coaches last (?) year. I would assume within a year or two the old GO scheme will be no more.

I don't know why they're bothering, this hardly seems like the most constructive use of limited dollars, and the last repaints/new coaches from 2011-14 still appear to be in reasonable shape, colour-wise. And I like the old scheme better, so I will not be breaking out the champagne.

I wonder if they'd ever decide to get rid of the GO scheme entirely in favor of the metrolinx livery they are using on Lines 5,6 and 10. I hope not, the grey and black is kinda dull

Shush! You never know who from ML happens to be reading the internet.

If this becomes a thing I am holding you personally responsible. :D

I believe it was in response to the talk of colour schemes, which in itself was already well off topic.

Ah but watch me veer onto topic like this...

How likely is it that the Ontario Line will actually have this paint scheme. I imagine it might be the Metrolinx bog standard, or some variation of, when it actually arrives. Although I do like the dot gradients at the end. I hope that's in the final version

Anyway it looks like moving away from the traditional stainless steel on the T1s and TRs
