A train with car 2022 leading to Mill Woods was involved in a a collision with a Culligan truck at 100 St. 20 minutes delay before they got things running.
Trains are alternating between terminating at Churchill or 102 St.
Damage is minor. Headlight panels were damaged but were able to be put back into place and then damaged skirt pieces. I didn't see any damage on the Culligan truck, but it could have been on the driver side

so 102ave has been reduced to one skinny lane eastbound. and 103ave now only extends from 109st to 100st. Add to that several streets between 109 and say 97th St. have in some way been reduced and/or blocked for usage. I don't have the patience to drive downtown anymore. Should just put a nice decorative fence around it.

Is that photoshop?

If that's real that is amazing 😂
It is definitely real. Today I ran into the car again and got the remainder of the messages which include "Ouch!" and "That one hurt!"
I also saw the Culligan truck that got hit of all things. It is the new style of International chassis which made me look close when I saw it today, and indeed there was damage on the left side. The LRV certainly got the worst of it, given this truck was back on the road the next day.

Here in Edmonton we went for over 40 years with an LRT system underground only downtown and we haven't had street cars for even longer. So I realize there is a learning curve for people to adjust to changes, particularly for those who do not go downtown often. Heck I still regularly see people turning right and driving down bike lanes. IMO it is not that hard to look for and just follow the signs, but perhaps for some people it is.

I don't think it's a question of not reading the signs or not knowing how to read the signs (surely, both skills should be in place before a driver's license is handed out). I think it's a problem of thinking that rules and signs simply do not apply because the driver is special. I see people turn right on red all the time. I see them speed through red daily. Keeping to the 40km/h speed limit downtown? Not likely.
If you put in bigger signs, surround them with flashing lights, and, indeed, add that valet idea (which, come on! would so add a classy feeling to the whole proceedings!), there will still be those who think they don't really need to follow these rules. I mean, they are special, aren't they?
As an aside, we were crossing 100 Ave by the Red Arrow. There is a very prominent "no right on red" sign. We watched a driver's ed car with a student at the wheel stop, hesitate, and then obviously say, eh, fuck it, and plow on through. I really wish I'd taken the guy's information because this is someone teaching someone else how to drive.
